Overview
The casing splits along the shaft centreline, so the top half lifts off and the rotating assembly comes out without disturbing the suction and discharge pipework. On a large installation that turns a major shutdown into routine maintenance.
The double-suction impeller draws from both sides at once, which balances axial thrust and suits the high volumes required by municipal supply and large building services.
