Overview
Two meshing gears carry fluid around the casing and push it out the other side. Because the volume moved per revolution is fixed, output is steady regardless of the pressure downstream — the opposite of how a centrifugal behaves.
That makes it the correct pump for oils, lubricants and anything too thick for a centrifugal to shift, and the right choice wherever a measured, consistent flow matters.
